Customer Service Representative

Pay: Based on  experience; starting at $14.00hr

Toy company in Elmwood Park is looking for an exceptional customer service professional. They need help in their general customer service department as well as with their front desk.

The Consumer Service Representative will play a key role in the continued growth and success of the company including to build a world-class Customer Service Department.  This position is for someone who enjoys working on a team and handling consumer’ s needs over the phone and e-mail.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Provide full-range support to consumers via phone, e-mail and occasionally fax and mail.
  • Handle large volume of phone calls and e-mails from consumers.  Phone calls and e-mails related to:
    • Placing orders, order status, replacement parts, warranty, in-stock status, product information/assembly, promotions, shipping information, e-mail sign-up, where to buy Radio Flyer products, and more.
  • Utilize our Enterprise Resource Planning System (JD Edwards by Oracle) to place orders, report quality concerns, check in-stock status, etc.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members that directly affect service levels to consumers (including Warehouse Team, Supply Chain, and Product Development).
  • Become a product champion through hands-on assembly as well as reviewing and becoming familiar with product manuals

Requirements:
  • The ideal candidate will possess 2-4 years of experience in a Call Center Environment. 
  • Bachelor’ s degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet and keying accurately in a minimum of 55 WPM. 
  • Possess a Professional Speaking Voice, Excellent Telephone Etiquette and Professionalism.  Be an Exceptional Listener with Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills.  
  • Must be an Initiative Taker, be Self-Directing and a Team Player.  
  • Must have a “ Can Do” Attitude; possess a high energy level with the capability of remaining cool under pressure.  This candidate must be honest and have a high-degree of integrity.   
  • Must be an effective problem solver.

This position is ideally suited for an individual who enjoys continuous interaction with consumers and can stay focused on results – someone who enjoys problem solving, loves challenge, and is committed to continuous improvement. S/he will know how to balance multiple priorities, and work toward big picture objectives without losing sight of important details.  Organization, attention to detail, and follow-up skills are important.
